PDF Workflow Builder — chain multiple tools together
Build a repeatable pipeline of PDF operations and run it on any file.
Workflow Builder lets you save a sequence of PDF operations (compress → watermark → protect, for example) and run the whole pipeline on a file with one click. The final step can optionally email the result to a recipient — useful for team workflows where the last step is 'send to the client'.
Only stateless tools that operate on a single PDF are chainable — merge/split aren't yet supported inside a workflow.
How to use it
- 1Sign in — workflows are per-account.
- 2Give the workflow a name.
- 3Add steps in order. Configure each step's parameters (compression level, watermark text, password, etc.).
- 4Optionally add an Email result step at the end.
- 5Save. Upload any PDF and press Run — the pipeline executes step-by-step.
Real-world use cases
- Every night: compress a scanned invoice, watermark it 'PROCESSED', and email it to accounts.
- Standardise outgoing contracts: watermark 'DRAFT', add page numbers, protect with a password.
- For a legal team: repair a corrupt PDF, add PDF/A conformance, and archive it.
- For a marketing team: add a company watermark to every whitepaper before publishing.
Supported formats & limits
Input: any PDF. Chainable tools: compress, rotate, watermark, protect, unlock, page-numbers, repair, email. Delivered files auto-delete 24 hours after creation.
Privacy
Your uploaded file is written to a temporary folder on our server, processed, and deleted by the operating system as soon as the request finishes — typically within seconds. Nothing is stored in our database. Traffic is encrypted over HTTPS. Workflow deliveries (files sent by the Email step) are stored temporarily in our database with a 24-hour TTL, then automatically deleted by MongoDB.

Not yet. Workflows currently run when you press Run. Scheduling is on the roadmap.
