Convert PowerPoint to PDF (PPT / PPTX)

Freeze a presentation into a stable PDF that looks the same on any device.

PPT to PDF uses LibreOffice Impress on our server to render your .ppt or .pptx into a PDF. Fonts, layouts and images are preserved as they render — the output is what LibreOffice sees, which usually matches PowerPoint closely for standard content.

Useful for distributing a deck to viewers who don't have PowerPoint installed, or for uploading to a portal that only accepts PDF.

How to use it

  1. 1Upload the .ppt or .pptx.
  2. 2Press Convert. Server-side LibreOffice renders the slides to PDF.
  3. 3Download the PDF.

Real-world use cases

  • Distribute training slides to a class where students use varied devices.
  • Upload a proposal deck to a submission portal that requires PDF.
  • Archive a presentation in a format that's stable long-term.

Supported formats & limits

Input: .ppt, .pptx. Output: PDF.

Privacy

Your uploaded file is written to a temporary folder on our server, processed, and deleted by the operating system as soon as the request finishes — typically within seconds. Nothing is stored in our database. Traffic is encrypted over HTTPS.

Frequently asked questions

Do animations become anything in the PDF?▾

No. PDFs are static — animations are dropped, and only the visible final state of each slide is exported.

Fonts don't match what I saw in PowerPoint.▾

If a specific font isn't on the server, LibreOffice substitutes. To fix, install a truly common font (e.g. use Roboto, Arial, Times New Roman) in your source deck.

Do speaker notes come across in the PDF?▾

No — speaker notes stay in the .pptx source. The PDF captures only the slides. If you need notes visible, print the PPT to PDF from PowerPoint with 'Notes Pages' layout instead.

How are slide animations handled?▾

Each slide is captured in its final animated state. If you want a specific animation step (e.g. mid-reveal), duplicate that slide in PowerPoint at the state you want before converting.

Does the output PDF stay 16:9 (or whatever the deck's aspect ratio is)?▾

Yes. Each PDF page inherits the exact slide dimensions of the source — 16:9, 4:3, or a custom size. No cropping or letterboxing is added.
