How the QR Generator Works
This tool converts text, links, contact details, or Wi-Fi credentials into a scannable QR code. Behind the scenes, your data is first encoded into binary, then arranged into a grid pattern following the QR code standard (ISO/IEC 18004). Error-correction data is added on top, so the code still scans correctly even if part of it gets smudged, scratched, or partially obscured.
The tool lets you choose an error-correction level (Low, Medium, Quartile, High) — a higher level adds more redundant data, making the code larger but more resistant to damage. Based on how much data you're encoding, the tool automatically selects the right "version" (grid size), since longer text or URLs need a bigger grid to fit.
QR codes generated this way are widely used on business cards, product packaging, restaurant menus, event tickets, and marketing materials to share a link quickly. The generated code can be downloaded as PNG or SVG, and the entire generation process runs offline in the browser.
