AI PDF Summarizer
Get the key points of a PDF in seconds — powered by large language models.
AI Summarizer reads the text of your PDF and produces a concise summary. It is useful when you need to decide whether a long document is worth reading in full, or to prepare talking points for a meeting.
The tool extracts the text of your PDF on the server, then sends only that text to a large-language-model provider (via the Emergent LLM proxy). The output is a short summary that captures the main themes and conclusions.
How to use it
- 1Upload the PDF you want summarised.
- 2Optionally choose a length or style (short / detailed / bullet points, depending on the interface).
- 3Press Summarize. The result appears on the page in a few seconds.
- 4Copy the summary or download it as text.
Real-world use cases
- Skim a long research paper before deciding to read it in full.
- Prepare a briefing note from a 40-page consultancy report.
- Turn meeting minutes into a concise action list.
- Get the gist of a lengthy legal document — but always follow up with a lawyer for anything that matters.
Supported formats & limits
Input: PDF containing selectable text. Scanned PDFs need OCR first (use the OCR PDF tool). Very long PDFs are truncated to fit within the LLM's context window.
Privacy
The text of your PDF is extracted on our server and sent to a large-language-model provider (via the Emergent LLM proxy) to generate a result. The raw PDF file itself is not stored. If your document is confidential, use a local tool instead.

Frequently asked questions
Which AI provider do you use?▾
We route through the Emergent LLM proxy which currently supports models from OpenAI, Anthropic and Google. The specific model may vary by tool and can change as better options become available.
Is my document confidential?▾
The extracted text is sent to a third-party LLM provider, so you should not use this tool for documents that must remain strictly confidential. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How accurate is the summary?▾
For most well-structured documents the summary is accurate. Summaries can miss nuance or introduce small errors — always verify claims against the original before quoting them.
Does it work on non-English PDFs?▾
Yes, though quality varies by language. English, Hindi, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Chinese work well. Very small languages may produce weaker results.
