Scan to PDF opens your device camera in the browser, lets you take a photo of each page, and stitches the photos into a single PDF. On phones the tool also offers the native file-picker with camera capture so old browsers still work.

This is the fastest way to digitise a paper document if you don't have a scanner. For OCR (extracting text) run the OCR PDF tool on the resulting file.

How to use it

Privacy

Your uploaded file is written to a temporary folder on our server, processed, and deleted by the operating system as soon as the request finishes — typically within seconds. Nothing is stored in our database. Traffic is encrypted over HTTPS.

Does it work on iOS Safari?▾

Yes — Safari supports camera capture through the file input. Grant permission when prompted.

Can I edit crop before saving?▾

Current version uses the captured image as-is. Rotate afterwards with the Rotate PDF tool if needed.

Are pages saved as OCR-searchable text?▾

No — the PDF contains images. Run OCR PDF afterwards to add a text layer.
