Extract tables from a PDF into an editable spreadsheet.

PDF to Excel uses LibreOffice's document engine to convert page content into an .xlsx spreadsheet. It's most useful when the source PDF was originally exported from a spreadsheet or contains clearly separated tabular data.

For freeform tables inside a report page, expect that column boundaries need manual adjustment after conversion — no automated PDF-to-Excel tool is perfect.

Frequently asked questions

Will complex tables survive?▾

Simple tables with clear grid lines convert well. Merged cells, nested tables and multi-line cells often need cleanup.

Does it work on scanned PDFs?▾

Run OCR first — otherwise the text is just images.

Numbers came out as text — why?▾

OCR-ed numbers or numbers formatted with special separators may end up as text. Use Excel's 'convert to number' or Text-to-Columns feature.
