Word to PDF converts .doc and .docx files into PDFs using LibreOffice's document engine on the server. The output looks the same on every device, doesn't require Word to open, and can be shared and printed with predictable formatting.

How to use it

Supported formats & limits

Input: .doc, .docx. Very old Word 97 documents usually work but are converted less accurately than modern .docx. Password-protected Word files must be unlocked first.

Privacy

Your uploaded file is written to a temporary folder on our server, processed, and deleted by the operating system as soon as the request finishes — typically within seconds. Nothing is stored in our database. Traffic is encrypted over HTTPS.

Frequently asked questions

Do embedded images and tables come through?▾

Yes. Images, tables, headers, footers, footnotes and page numbers are all rendered into the PDF.

What if my document uses a font that isn't installed on the server?▾

The server has a wide range of common fonts. If a very specific font is missing, LibreOffice substitutes a similar one — usually with no visible difference for standard fonts.

Can I convert multiple Word files at once?▾

The tool converts one document per request. If you need to convert many files, run them one after another — the tool is quick.

Will hyperlinks work in the resulting PDF?▾

Yes. Hyperlinks in the Word document become clickable in the PDF output.
