Sign a PDF or send for signature
Add your signature to any PDF, or email a signature request to someone else.
The Sign PDF tool has two modes. In 'Sign myself' mode you drag your saved signature image onto the PDF at the position you want and download the signed file. In 'Send for signature' mode you email a link to another person, who signs the document in their browser without needing an account — PDF Hub then stores the completed PDF and an audit trail (sent → viewed → signed events).
The audit trail records who signed, when, and from what IP — this is useful evidence, though not a replacement for a certified digital-signature workflow when one is required.
How to use it
- 1Upload the PDF.
- 2Choose 'Sign myself' or 'Send for signature'.
- 3In 'Sign myself': drop your signature image, drag it into place on the page, download the signed PDF.
- 4In 'Send for signature': type the recipient's email and an optional message, press Send. The recipient gets an email with a link.
- 5Track the request from the Signatures dashboard.
Real-world use cases

Frequently asked questions
Is this a legally binding signature?▾
PDF Hub produces electronic signatures. Whether a specific electronic signature is legally binding depends on the jurisdiction and the type of document. Read our Disclaimer for details, and consult a lawyer for high-stakes documents.
How is this different from a digital signature (DSC)?▾
A digital signature (issued by a Certifying Authority like eMudhra or SafeScrypt in India) uses a cryptographic key tied to your verified identity. PDF Hub produces a simple electronic signature — an image of your signature plus an audit trail. For government filings that require a DSC, use a certified provider.
What happens if the recipient declines?▾
The document status changes to 'declined' with the reason (if the recipient provided one). Both sides see the outcome in the audit trail.
Can I revoke a signature request after sending?▾
Yes — open the Signatures dashboard and delete the request. The public link stops working immediately.
